What to expect
Vimeo thumbnails are served in several widths. We show the large version (up to 1280 px wide), a 640 px version and a 295 px version. The real height depends on the video's aspect ratio, so not every Vimeo thumbnail is 16:9.
Only public videos are supported. If a video is private, password protected or limited to a domain, Vimeo does not share its thumbnail and the tool will show an error.
